Masooda Saadia moved to Florida over 20 years ago.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.  Since 2006 she has been working as a substitute teacher and is a strong advocate of volunteering as well. 

She has spent hundred of hours in various Florida elementary and middle schools and has been a volunteer in the Margate Masjid Jamaat Al’Mumineen (MJAM) and in the Assalam Center of Boca Raton for the past 15 years.  As a member of the Planning Committee of the Pink Ladies of MJAM she participated in multiple fundraisers and handled community betterment projects for both Breast Cancer and Homeless Shelters.

Saadia has also been involved for many years in the Boy Scouts of America as a merit badge counselor, educating the next generation in various important skills. She has been an enthusiastic participant in many of the roundtable discussions of JAM & ALL over the past 14 years and always left with a better perspective of diversity and tolerance.
